Don't have enough on to go outside
My fingers close as do my eyes
We're freezing, hoping and viewing the world from a window.
I never felt.
I'm without warmth, or faith that it will warm up
And I'm bracing myself, just writing my list and I'm just shaking a bit.
Just living alone with a flask and a feather,
Scribbling with purpose no matter the weather
The pains in my palms cause my writing to tilt
Clear and composed but buried in complex and guilt.
Like the wilt of the rose.
